Candidate for CCIFS Grand Prix 2023 ''CSR'': Generali Osiguranje Srbija
During this year's Green Gala evening, which will take place on April 27th, we will organize the traditional Grand Prix CCIFS awards ceremony
Generali Osiguranje Srbija is part of The Human Safety Net, the global initiative of the Generali Group aimed at protecting and improving people's lives outside the framework of everyday business. In Serbia, in partnership with Novak Đoković Foundation, the company successfully implements the programme for families “Support, not perfection” for five years. At 10 workshops, held weekly, parents and caregivers of children of up to six years of age get parenting support so that their children can have a better chance for a more promising future. In 2021 and 2022, Generali Osiguranje Srbija and Novak Đoković Foundation opened 14 parenting centres across the country, where workshops, individual counselling and lectures are held. So far, 2,300 parents have attended the programme.
Parenting centres have been established in Bač, Sjenica, Kovačica, Paraćin, Šabac, Belgrade, Irig, Petrovac na Mlavi, Pančevo, Sremska Mitrovica, Jagodina, Užice, Novi Sad i Vladimirci.
The financial support of Generali Group and our company for the realisation of the programme and the establishment of parenting amounts to 500,000 euros.
The programme “Support, not perfection” started in 2018, when Generali Osiguranje Srbija joined the global initiative The Human Safety Net (THSN). Before the parenting centres were established, we held online workshops. So far, in addition to 2,300 parents and caregivers who have attended the workshops, the programme has impacted around 1,600 children directly and around 2,000 children indirectly.
Under the THSN initiative, in addition to the collaboration with the Novak Đoković Foundation, Generali Osiguranje Srbija also implements internal and external activities promoting and supporting our family programme.
In June 2022, our company, along with its sister companies in 22 countries where Generali Group runs THSN programmes, took part in the THSN’s Global Fundraising Challenge.
In Serbia, our challenges included climbing mountains and hills and tidying up public green spaces. Nearly 400 of our colleagues formed teams and successfully completed as many as 19 challenges. They climbed 14 mountains and hills and tidied up 5 public green spaces. All the funds raised went towards purchasing an interactive board and other equipment for the Belgrade City Deaf Association (Gradska organizacija gluvih Beograda – GOGB) to help improve the working conditions of the association. Brochures for parents whose children are hard of hearing were also funded from the proceeds of the challenges.
In late 2022, we organised the New Year’s Bazaar, now traditional in our company. This is another charity event, where our colleagues exhibit and purchase handmade products, and the proceeds go to our family programme. Last year, we raised over 315,000 dinars.
All THSN activities are organised by our employees who volunteer to be THSN Ambassadors for a year. They promote the initiative and spread its impact. In 2022, we had a record number of 40 THSN Ambassadors.
