At this year's Gala, the CCIFS 2019 Grand Prix will be held. Company Manpower Group, member of CCIFS, is nominee for the category "Corporate social responsability" for the student scholarship program "We see talents hidden in you"
For the last 10 years in Serbia and seven decades in over 80 countries worldwide, we believe that meaningful and sustainable business has the power to change the world. We proudly want to share our success with others, therefore we think that young talents are those who need the support most.
As a part of celebration of the 10th anniversary in Serbia, we have created a student scholarship program for all students of state faculties and universities. Internally defined evaluation criteria put focus on academic success and extracurricular achievements of the candidate as well as the current material situation.
Through this type of scholarship program we have supported 30 students, with financial support in the amount of EUR 100 per month for a period of one year. This scholarship can be used by students for their further academic and professional development, after the expiration of the scholarship they have no obligation to the ManpowerGroup. Also, during this program students have expert assistance form ManpowerGroup side in terms of various career development programs, job search, and the latest trends in the labour market.
The student scholarship program "We see the talents hidden in you" was fully initiated and implemented by ManpowerGroup Serbia. From the initial idea that emerged from the company's CEO, developing the idea and concept of the program by the Marketing sector, as well as the process of selection and evaluation of candidates by the People & Culture department. In order to get as many potential candidates as possible, cooperation was achieved with a large number of faculty deans, student organizations, and youth associations closely related to this target group.
We want to establish a long-standing program of support and financial assistance to students for their further academic and professional development, and increase their competitiveness in a constantly changing world of work.
In 2018, ManpowerGroup made donations of more than EUR 30,000 to various organizations, associations and institutions. While the budget of EUR 36,000 was defined for the student scholarship program. Also, ManpowerGroup employees responded several times to the calls of different organizations in order to transfer their practical knowledge and experience.
